Smith's double-double lands him Liga MB Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old swingman Andravious Smith (198-G/F-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team San Salvador and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Brujos (#7, 2-4) 78-68. It allowed San Salvador to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga MB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and San Salvador keeps a perfect 8-0 record. In the team's last game Smith had a remarkable 65.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at San Salvador, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Tougaloo College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Smith is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.5ppg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 65.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Nick Moore (198-PF-1991) of Fantasmas. He is American forward in his second season at Fantasmas. In the last game Moore recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 18 rebounds. Of course he led Fantasmas to another comfortable win outscoring Chalchuapa (#10, 0-8) 105-79. This victory allowed Fantasmas to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Moore is well-known at Fantasmas and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Gorg Alhag (190-SG-1997) of Chalchuapa (#10). Alhag scored 18 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). Despite Alhag's great performance Chalchuapa lost 79-105 to the higher-ranked Fantasmas (#6, 3-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Chalchuapa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 8 games. Too bad for Alhag he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Alhag has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.6rpg (8th best) and assists with 4.7apg (6th best). Alhag attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
